Finola Hughes
Finola Hughes, born in London. Studied at Arts Educational Schools and began her career in the Northern Ballet Company, after winning the Markova award. Went on to work in the West End in the original cast of Cats and continued working with Andrew Lloyd Webber in Song & Dance. After making Stayin’ Alive in LA, moved to California in 1984 and began on General Hospital, winning an Emmy award in 1991. Continued to make TV series and various movies for the next few years, Jacks Place, Aspen Extreme, Blossom, Charmed, and returned to ABC daytime in 1999 to join the cast of All my Children in New York. Once in NY, began entering the Fashion World and returned to Los Angeles to begin a 4 year stint on the Style Network with a fabulous makeover show, How do I Look? Returned for a brief sojourn to General Hospital, and it’s spin off, Night Shift. Finola lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, artist Russell Young and their 3 children.
When playing Patty Halliwell, the mother of the three witches on "Charmed" (1998), Finola Hughes was receiving more mail individually than any of the three stars.
I really enjoyed working with John Travolta. I like to laugh when I'm working, and obviously there are serious moments - but John is a giggler and has a great sense of humor. And he really likes to do stupid things

(About keeping up with the storylines on General Hospital) Yes. I watch it from time to time because I really enjoy Tony Geary's work a lot (as Luke Spencer), and I love to see Kimberly. I have a lot of friends who are still on the show.
(About the possibility of her return to General Hospital) I don't know. Perhaps. That's about all I can say because, you know, it's not up to me
When I joined General Hospital as Anna, it was a part I never thought I'd get, because I'm as British as Emma Samms, and the producers wanted an American Anna. I was so surprised when they chose me, I jumped up and down for joy.
